I’m Jess Li, and I’ve been tutoring math and science for middle school through college since 2018. I grew up in Westchester, NY, and graduated from Scarsdale High School, then went on to complete a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience at Columbia University. Before entering education, I spent nearly two years in management consulting at McKinsey & Company, where I developed a strong foundation in communication, structured problem-solving, and high-level strategy. After transitioning into tutoring, I realized immediately that teaching was where I was meant to be. In addition to my private practice, I have also worked as a teaching assistant in a therapeutic day treatment setting, supporting students with a wide range of emotional, psychological, and learning needs. This experience deeply shaped my approach to education and strengthened my ability to meet students exactly where they are. As an educator, I bring together academic rigor, clear structure, intuitive understanding, and emotional sensitivity to create a personalized learning experience for each student. My goal is to help students build confidence, master challenging material, and develop the skills they need to approach their work with clarity and independence.
